Finally after almost 30 years since it's original cd release on the legendary Hyperborea Records, Order of the Ebon Hand's debut album is available for the first time on vinyl as well as re-pressed on cd with the original cover.
Emerging from the same shadowed era that gave rise to the great atmospheric works of the mid-'90s, The Mystic Path To The Netherworld occupies its own distinct place within the underground. Where many of its contemporaries pursued relentless aggression or raw minimalism, Order Of The Ebon Hand forged a sound built upon evocative melody, solemn keyboard arrangements, and carefully crafted guitar harmonies, without sacrificing the cold edge and conviction of traditional black metal.
The album balances haunting ambience with memorable songwriting, allowing each composition to unfold naturally through dynamic shifts, melancholic themes, and ritualistic pacing. Its emphasis on atmosphere and musicality places it alongside the more introspective and symphonic currents of the era while retaining an unmistakably underground spirit.
